Here’s to Moving On!

Not that I’ve forgotten
I’ve chosen to ignore
The wounds that
Once cut deep
Have relevance no more

Strange what meant life
No longer holds true
Stranger it is more even
To view the blur brew

Healthy for my heart though
Soul sings a symphony
That once you brutally murdered
My Universe restored the belief

My beliefs won wars,
True and honest
Were my shining scars,
As neutral I am to it,
As indifferent were you
To my agonies,

Blinded by the
Dazzling light
You can no longer see,
The sparkling shine
I hold
Comes from the cuts
You slashed real deep…

Not this time
I won’t thank,
For I’m the one who
Survived the sank,

It sank me enough
To make me swim
Through the oceans
Dank and grim,

Learnt a lot
Lost more than ever
Like an owl became
Wise and clever.

Something I would
Thank you forever for –

Without any regrets
My life looks happier now!!!

  1. Another masterpiece! Can relate to it!
I was angry with her but furious with my own self. But I moved on!
But feeling grateful to her for making me indifferent to pain and pleasure! It’s the state rarely achieved!

Its kind of funny, they say time heals everything, rather time pushes you so deep that only choice you get is to Survive, Revive and Thrive.

  5. Very well said!!
Time and experiences makes us mature enough to move on in life with little or no damage.
To make moving on experience easier, we should be thankful to so many other things in our lives which we are blessed with.
Hope that makes some sense 😊.
