The World Quarantined

For all that
we had taken for granted,
We have come to realize
the price,

The abandoned streets,
the deserted roads,
Our impassable Paradise,

Now here we are,
Locked in our abode
with nowhere to go,

Who thought
of the apocalypse,
To be a boring amigo,

Everyday is as monotonous
as its neighbour,

It’s time we stop
Naming them altogether,

Everything we dreamt of
Upon us is destined,

With internet, food and books
We are quarantined!

Routine is our new dream,
With places to go,

Busy we crave,
Mondays we look for
In a morrow,

Those meets, those people,
We yearn it all,

We desire to wake up
To a world
That is normal,

No lockdowns, no isolations,
Nothing to shadow box with,
An ordinary day, a gleaming Sun,
A place filled with hustles
And happiness therewith…
